The project highlights innovations in understanding artistic action, the different relationships between structured form and improvisation, and the thoughtful relationships with the space and audience. Jure Pukl, an award-winning jazz saxophonist and composer, and Urška Centa expand the boundaries of their respective artistic languages by developing a shared performative space where music, movement, and presence operate as an integrated system. Their collaboration moves beyond conventional concert formats, unfolding as a hybrid concert-performance that continuously negotiates the relationship between sound and body.
Through this interplay, the work generates layered sensory environments. At once tactile, immersive, and precise, while maintaining a subtle tension between visibility and abstraction. Rather than illustrating meaning, the performers construct shifting atmospheres in which perception, rhythm, and physicality remain in constant transformation.
On the verge of the invisible are sounds and images at the intersection of time and space and exciting sensory impressions connecting two creators from two different worlds, each staring from their distant balcony towards the common solitude. Their memories, their experiences, thoughts and desires merge into each other in order to tell each other something beautiful, essential and liberating. Together with them, the creators are building a space in which, in these turbulent times, it is still possible to listen to the silence and spend some time searching for a fellow human being in one’s own reflection.
