Sounds under the skin is a meeting of five women, diverse artists who get to know each other through movement and voice. With a dance and sound installation, they cross the performative landscapes and explore the origins of their personal stage practice. They invite you into the world of raw reality, which at the same time is always on the edge to cross the threshold into the poetic world of dreams.

In different codes, they tell the stories of many spaces and forms, in which elusive images of life, the transience of relationships and their mirrorings take place. They meet in intimate and experienced synchronicities of the bodies, which lend a hand to the music and open up the thought that dance itself can be music.

The project brings together women artists who develop their own recognizable languages and artistic diversity through their work. Urška Centa, contemporary flamenco dancer and artist of a wide field of creation, Anja Möderndorfer, modern dancer and choreographer of theatrical movement, Kristýna Šajtošová, Czech stage artist and choreographer, Sara Janašković, young performer and dancer, and Zvezdana Novaković, a musician, singer and harpist, depict the might and fragility of each individual and community. Their work is based on hybrid approaches of connecting stage disciplines and a vision of a plural artistic community, where different expressive languages do not represent an obstacle, but offer fertile ground for new creative fascinations.

We dance to get to know ourselves. We dance to embrace the wonderful manifestation of the body. To discover its uniqueness, its breathtaking beauty of transience. Its elusiveness.
